Hi, I’m Pat Patierno the owner of Villarina’s Market in Briarcliff Manor, NY. My love of great cooking began was when I was a young boy. My grandparents lived with us and my grandmother was an amazing cook. I couldn’t get enough of her wonderful, authentic meals. Because of my enthusiasm, she constantly created new dishes for me to try. She taught me everything she knew and as I got older I wanted to learn even more.
So, I was accepted to and attended the School for Culinary Arts at Johnson and Wales College, one of the most highly respected culinary schools in the world. More than a “cooking school,” Johnson & Wales gave me a culinary education that not only prepared me to be a great chef, but also made me understand how to develop a following and to keep my customers coming back. I discovered that the combination of great food and a helpful, cheerful staff is the recipe for success!
When I opened Villarina’s Market in 2000, I knew that the discerning clientele in Westchester craved something more special than just the average deli. So I set upon creating my own style of innovative Italian food, but Italian food with a twist. At Villarina’s we serve nothing that is boring or commonplace and we use only the freshest and highest quality ingredients we can get. We must be doing it right, because our customers keep coming back again and again!
My Villarina’s Market is the only one that is able to prepare meals right on the premises and we do it in our open kitchen for all to see. The staff is professional, helpful, friendly, and as passionate about what they do as I am.
I really believe that good food is the key to a happy life, and I have dedicated myself to sharing that belief with all of my customers. You can be sure that whether you are picking up a quick sandwich, ordering a catered lunch or hosting a banquet, I will personally be involved in every stage of preparation.
Come in and sample our famous fresh mozzarella, our homemade pasta, salads and sandwiches. Buy some prime meat for the BBQ or a full meal for the family.
